Robert J. Plumb is a Managing Director at AEW and Director of Acquisitions for the firm’s Direct Investment Group. He is also a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Investment Committee and Investment Policy Group. Bob has over 23 years of diversified real estate experience that encompasses the sourcing, structuring and underwriting of new investment opportunities, as well as the management of existing assets and portfolios. H During his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition and structuring of over $10 billion of real estate transactions. Bob joined the firm in 1989 as a Vice President working in asset management and focusing primarily on industrial and office properties in California and the southwestern U.S. Prior to that, he worked for the Kuwait Investment Office as an Investment Manager for its U.S. real estate and agricultural portfolio. Bob is actively involved in the senior leadership of the Urban Land Institute. He is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A.) and Columbia University (M.S.).
