Pamela J. Herbst is a Managing Director at AEW and Head of the Direct Investment Group, one of the firm's three business lines which is responsible for all of the firm's investment activities on behalf of core and value-added clients. Pam has 25 years of real estate investment acquisitions, asset and portfolio management experience. As the head of the group, Pam is responsible for the asset and portfolio management of $8 billion of gross assets under management invested in nearly all property types and new investment transactions totaling approximately $900 million/year. Pam is a member of the firm's Management Committee, Investment Committee and Investment Policy Group. Since joining the firm in 1982, Pam has held various senior level positions in investment management, acquisitions and corporate operations. In addition to holding a number of industry certifications, Pam is on the Board of Directors and former Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP), is an active member of ULI and served from 2002-2004 on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Awards for Excellence Committee. Pam is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (B.A.) and Boston University (M.B.A.).
