Working in collaboration with the Corporate Regulation Manager (France), the Legal team and Fund Management teams, AEW is searching for a Corporate Lawyer who will deal predominantly in France (and across Europe as required).

Primary responsibilities

As a Corporate Lawyer working within the French jurisdiction (plus additional ad-hoc support across Europe), the individual will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the legal aspects of a portfolio of regulated funds (including OPCI; SCPI; and FIA if needed):
  1. AMF agreements
  2. Legal Communications (including Advisory Boards and General Meetings; refinancing processes; share transfers; reporting)
  3. Liquidation process
  • Assisting in the structuring of new regulated funds alongside third party advisors (capital investment; shareholders agreement; financing etc.)
  • Participating in SCPI distribution process. Preparation of the records of capital increase documentation and distribution agreements
  • Redaction and tracking of intra-group agreements between corporate companies
  • Legal and regulatory monitoring (AMF; AIFM etc.) and updating fund records
  • Managing relationships with the regulatory authorities (AMF) and professional organisations (AFG; ASPIM)


  • Knowledge of corporate law/French financial proceeds law
  • Strong written skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Interest in collective vehicles/real estate/financial markets
  • Education: Background in law (Business Law degree or CAPA)
  • Work experience: at least 3 to 5 years work experience in a similar role (SPG, company or law firm)
