AEW Europe, one of the world’s largest real estate investment and asset managers[1], announces four new appointments within its asset management team based in Paris.
Alexia Delaire has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Asset Management France while retaining her role as Head of Asset Management for Retail & Hotels France. The COO position has been created to ensure the co-ordination and harmonisation of processes, particularly through the digitalisation and modernisation of activities carried out by a team of 130 asset management professionals based in Paris across major asset classes (logistics, office, retail, residential, etc.). In addition to the retail team of 32 professionals overseeing 1.3 million sqm across approximately 860 assets throughout France, Alexia will also manage a staff of 18 people supporting asset management activities. Alexia joined AEW Europe’s asset management team in 2012 after starting her career at a French REIT company. She holds a master’s degree in real estate management from Paris Dauphine University.
Julie Milaret recently joined AEW Europe as Head of Major Projects and Sustainable Development France. In her new role, Julie will work closely with AEW Europe's SRI, Asset Management, Fund Management and Investment teams, leading two teams of 9 and 6 professionals respectively to drive key projects focused on generating value through active asset management and sustainability improvements, particularly through the adaptation and repositioning of assets. Julie brings over 15 years of experience to the role, with the last 5 years spent at BNP Paribas Real Estate as Program Director for major developments in hotels, offices, and residential operations. Julie holds a master’s degree in engineering from ESTP Paris and a specialised master’s degree from ESCP Business School.
François-Xavier Decourrière has been appointed as Head of Asset Management Offices France. François-Xavier, who was previously Head of Asset Management Logistics France, will oversee a team of 27 professionals managing over 1.3 million sqm and 269 office assets. He joined AEW Europe in 2013 after graduating from EDHEC Business School and completing a master at Université Paris-Dauphine. His focus will be on enhancing asset value through strategic management and development initiatives.
Louise Roger has been promoted to Head of Asset Management Logistics and Light Industrial France. Louise, who succeeds François-Xavier, will lead a team of 11 professionals responsible for managing, developing and marketing over 2.7 million sqm and 120 logistics and light industrial assets. Having spent over six years at AEW Europe, she primarily worked as a logistics asset manager in Paris, after starting her career in the Frankfurt office. She holds a master’s degree in real estate and urban planning from ESSEC. Louise will play a key role in continuing to create long-term value, including through sustainable practices, on behalf of AEW Europe’s clients.
Vanessa Roux-Collet, CEO and Head of France at AEW Europe, commented: “These appointments will further strengthen our asset management platform in France as we continue to implement strategies to drive value on behalf of our clients. Alexia's extensive and recognised experience will serve as a key driver for optimising asset management processes, ultimately benefiting the strategies and mandates we manage for our clients. Louise and François-Xavier’s abilities in asset management, combined with Julie’s extensive background in project developments and asset repositioning with a sustainability focus, reflect our ongoing ambition to advise our clients in navigating the key challenges currently facing the real estate asset management sector, including those related to climate adaptation and energy transition. I am confident that Alexia, Julie, François-Xavier and Louise, along with their teams and in collaboration with AEW Europe’s asset management, investment, and fund management teams across other European markets, will make a meaningful impact. I look forward to working with them.”
